Looking Back! Christmas 50’s!

Thought I’d share a little something to help get you in the holiday cheer! I know I need it! I sure loved looking at the vintage photos and listening to the song “Baby It’s Cold Outside” by Sammy Davis Jr. and Carmen Mcrae. 

It amazes me how times have changed. This year I have noticed people are already decorating for Christmas.  Someone on Twitter was saying something about this and I thought “ You know, with the economy and how things are right now people want to get started early to make it last longer. “ I can’t say I really blame them. Christmas is always a special time filled with excitement and anticipation just because of the season.  I look forward to making gifts and being with family.

Love Snowmen?

I bought these little guys at a yard sale and just couldn’t pass them up.  I have enough decorations to fill my home and thought someone out there will surely love to adopt anyone of the ones I have listed on ebay right now! Just click on the pictures and it will take you to where they are. :)

This happy snowman is ready to brighten up your day with winter cheer.  His solid frosted glass body sits sturdy on any level surface.  His red scarf and blue hat give him a warm hearted glow.

This snowman is made by artist Marjoleine Bastin for HALLMARK in the year 2005. The theme here is called WINTER FRIENDS! Enjoy this happy snowman holding a wreath and his favorite feathered friends...what a nice way to bring the fun of winter indoors.

This little guy has the sweetest little smile, blue eyes that are set close together and an orange nose.  He is holding his cardinal friend in his hand.  Beside him is a whimsical like Christmas tree with a snow cap white top sporting a black wire curl with a sparkly gold star.
