Ruffles create a vintage and feminine look. They can come in subtle and exaggerated forms depending on what you wish to achieve with your look.

The ruffled blouse can be paired with slim pants, skinny jeans or a pencil skirt.

For a more casual look try skinny jeans and a pair of converse tennis shoes for fun! You can also add a pair of high heels for a very nice look.

For a more sophisticated look, I would suggest a pencil skirt and high heels.

If it is short sleeve, wear it tucked in with a high waist pencil skirt. If you are uncomfortable with a skirt, try some vintage high waisted trousers.

We love this short sleeved vintage 70s cobalt blue tuxedo ruffled blouse! It has a high ruffle collar and matching blue buttons. We paired this outfit with black skinny jeans, a wide black vintage 80s belt and for fun a pair of black converse tennis shoes. To get a better look, come and visit us here!

Electric Blues

This cute vintage 6os top was found at a local estate sale. We love the electric blue color and the cute key ring zipper pull. We had fun adding a grayish black hat, black cowboy boots, and a black and gold belt to give this outfit a bit of pizzaz!
There are so many ways to wear this simple, yet versatile top.
You can find it here . The starting bid is only 9.99. Most of the items we sell at auction start at 9.99. So...if this interest you ...go place your bid!

Finally Did It !

I've been contemplating for awhile. My daughter has wanted me to let her model my vintage clothing. I finally said "O.K. lets try it and see."  Well... to be honest it was a lot of fun. I think the photos turned out nice and I think it has inspired her to have her own style.

At first she wanted to model some contemporary pieces I had and I told her if she is going to model for me it has to be a vintage piece. Even though she may not have liked what I picked out for her, once she saw how you can mix and match vintage with her modern clothes she was rather surprised. So..now she would like to inspire others to have their own unique style and not be like everyone else.

I have loved vintage and have done my share of going to thrift shops, estate sales, garage sales etc. Its always been such fun and I love the thrill of the hunt! So...it looks like I will be having another partner, besides my husband, going along for the thrill of the hunt. I'm excited and so is she!

Here are a couple of photos to show off and you can check the dress out in my ebay shop.

Addoway....a free social marketplace that’s all about you

Tonight I listened to Danna Crawford also known as PowerSellingMom, on her weekly Friday night Radio Show.  Her guest was Fredrick Nijm: President and Co-Founder of Addoway.com.
What a pleasant treat to listen to a new concept about online sales. I signed up right away! I haven't finished filling out everything as its 2:00 am. My plan is to set it up and to read more in the morning. I suggest you do the same! Go check it out and see what this is all about.

Addoway allows you to exchange products and services with a social community of people just like you, in a fun, fresh way. They are not an eBay clone, a new version of Craigslist or a spin-off of the many other marketplaces on the web. Rather than building another “alternative” to popular online marketplaces, they decided to blaze a new trail. They believe that the social web was built by users, and that is exactly what Addoway is all about, YOU. Their community was built to give buyers the power to get a great deal on their own terms, while making it easier on sellers to earn a living selling their products and services.
