Pendleton Suits to Go!

Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well!I have been so busy adding new inventory to Pink Hill Vintage! Below you will find a few items that have been added to my inventory. This is a handsome vintage 80's PENDLETON navy blue and green Tartan plaid Skirt suit. It is made of 100% Virgin Wool. Very Nice to wear to the office or presentations.
Here is another Vintage skirt suit with a Boyfriend Blazer by Young Pendleton. It has a preppy plaid school girl look!
If you are looking for something that has class and is comfortable then check out this vintage 80s outfit with black high waist pull on pants and a red cropped top with a black VELVET collar.  I love this one! This is a pretty vintage late 70s or early 80s red Secretary dress with a purple and tan paisley print with pleated shoulders. Tea ANYone?

A few new items in my eBay store and my #2 Etsy Shop! I have never sold glassware…so this is new to me.  These are dishes that have been in the family but I don’t have a complete set and it doesn’t go with my theme. I’m hoping that maybe someone needs these pieces to complete their set.  I do love the pattern and think it is so sweet! This is by Noritake.  The pattern is Somerset #5317.  This set is in my Etsy Shop.  There are 4 cups and 4 saucers.  Noritake china, though only officially registered under that trademark in 1981, has a history that goes as deep as the beginning of trade relations between the United States and Japan.  From my research this set was the 17th pattern produced in 1953. The first two digits ( 5317 )are the last two of the production year. The last two ( 5317 ) on the stamp are the place the pattern sits in the line of patterns created in that year.

This picture is taken from the same pattern, it is a bread and butter set that I have listed in my ebay store.  There are 4 pieces to this one.
These pieces would also be a great addition to those who love shabby chic decor!

A little Something to wake you UP!!

I was looking around and found this vintage ad for Folgers coffee. Folgers is what I usually drink. With the way coffee has gone up in price, I might need to give it up...lol :) Seriously though...it would be hard to do! What are your thoughts? Isn't it crazy what we are paying for coffee?

Sew Retro!

The other day I went to visit a couple of friends of mine for lunch, which was very yummy by the way.  We had homemade chili, corn muffins and an awesome salad! And for dessert we had homemade strawberry shortcake…I knew I must be in strawberry heaven! It was the best I have ever had!

While we were eating one of my friends jumped up and said “OH, I have something I want you to see”.  She showed me this book called Sew Retro which she had recently bought.  I thumbed through it and was inspired to get myself a copy.  In the mean time she let me borrow it until mine comes in.  I can’t wait to get it! It looks like some simple patterns that is easy for most anyone to follow.  Also there are some interesting history facts that was quite interesting to me too!  If this sounds like something up your alley you should check it out too by going here! The woman's Vintage clothing market is an amazing and rapidly expanding internet business with new sellers coming on to meet the demand. Many different and varied approaches are being used in the attempt to promote and sell Vintages items.

 

A lot is centered around what an actual vintage item really is. First you have your “purists” who only consider items from the roaring 20s through the mod 60s on the vintage clothing list. Other more liberal vintage promoters allow items from the 70's. There is even one group that explains vintage as the best of any certain era and allow the 80s and even some 90s fashions in the door.

However you spell vintage, now is the time to take an interest in the Vintage Clothing market and come check us out.

Vintage 1974 Holly Hobbie

Did you know that Holly Hobbie is a real person?  Born in 1944, her artwork first appeared in 1967, courtesy of American Greetings, the greeting card company!  In 1974, Knickerbocker licensed the artwork of Hobbie that eventually became a legacy of rag dolls that would become a favorite for a generation of American children.  By 1975 Holly Hobbie rag dolls out sold Raggedy Ann dolls five to one.  Interesting…. uh?  Do you remember these dolls?  If so… feel free to leave a comment with your story of remembrance.  Also, if you are interested in these rare vinyl dolls I have 3 up for auction in my eBay store! Geometric Fun Colors

I love this cute vintage 80s Southwestern metallic Boho top! This top came from my stylish and hip aunt. She has the most fabulous clothes. I have more than I know what to do with, so stay tuned for more. What I love about this little top is the cute geometric design and cool retro colors. 70s Orange and Yellow Babydoll Top

This is one of the cutest tops! It looks to be handmade. I love the retro 70s print with the orange, yellow and brown colors! And check out THOSE buttons! They sure add character to the top. It’s All About Florals!

Love this sweet floral Whimsical print vintage late 70s or early 80s dress. It is made out of a semi sheer fabric with a pleated skirt front. It has its own matching belt too! Rocking Red with a Secret

O.K. So today I decided it was time to make a showing on my blog.  I usually am pretty shy about posting pics of myself.  As you will not see but maybe one, other than this one. But after much encouraging from my friends and fellow bloggers I decided to take the plunge. So here I am! Also I have been inspired by a few older vintage ladies that blog and share their different outfits with creativity.  I hope they won't be offended by that statement, because I'm proud to be a vintage lady!

In this photo I am wearing a new old stock vintage 80s dress. I call it the red rockabilly...yeah I know, that sounds kinda corny..huh? Well, it is a nice dress and it is available right now in my eBay Store at auction starting at 9.99.  If you haven't been to my store you should check it out.

I'm going to clue you in on a little secret, I run most of my auctions on eBay starting at a 9.99 ( sometimes .99) and since I don't seem to get much traffic you will probably get it for that price. Once an item doesn't sell I'm moving it over to Etsy , which I am loving it over there so far. I have met so many nice and talented people. So if you are interested NOW is the time.

Aloha Hawaii! Vintage 70s Hawiian Dress

This is one of the cutest little vintage Hawaiian dresses I have seen in a while. It is fun and vibrantly colorful. It is from the late 70s and is a mini. I love the red background with the pretty Hawaiian design print. It has a cute layer like jacket, bolero style that ties under the bust. It is 100% Rayon...with a nice silky like feel and drapes very nice. It has princess seams for an hour glass fit and it zips in the back for easy access.
