This top has a beautiful red bodice which features a semi sheer fabric with a black floral rose and leaf print.  It has a woven red ribbon effect that is very pretty and adds to the character of the shirt.  It also has a satin camisole underneath. This is not a vintage piece, but it sure is pretty!

It’s All About Florals!

Love this sweet floral Whimsical print vintage late 70s or early 80s dress. It is made out of a semi sheer fabric with a pleated skirt front. It has its own matching belt too! Rocking Red with a Secret

O.K. So today I decided it was time to make a showing on my blog.  I usually am pretty shy about posting pics of myself.  As you will not see but maybe one, other than this one. But after much encouraging from my friends and fellow bloggers I decided to take the plunge. So here I am! Also I have been inspired by a few older vintage ladies that blog and share their different outfits with creativity.  I hope they won't be offended by that statement, because I'm proud to be a vintage lady!

In this photo I am wearing a new old stock vintage 80s dress. I call it the red rockabilly...yeah I know, that sounds kinda corny..huh? Well, it is a nice dress and it is available right now in my eBay Store at auction starting at 9.99.  If you haven't been to my store you should check it out.

I'm going to clue you in on a little secret, I run most of my auctions on eBay starting at a 9.99 ( sometimes .99) and since I don't seem to get much traffic you will probably get it for that price. Once an item doesn't sell I'm moving it over to Etsy , which I am loving it over there so far. I have met so many nice and talented people. So if you are interested NOW is the time.   

Eccentric Thrifter and Pink Hill Vintage Meet Up!

Today was a fabulous day.  After meeting Linda from Eccentric Thrifter online, we had the chance to meet face to face along with our hubby's.  It felt like meeting an old friend that I had not seen for years. I love experiences like that! You don't find them very often.and when you do what a treat!

We had the chance to spend some time talking over breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe in Chesapeake about a number of things.  It was a good way to break the ice.  After that we checked out several thrift shops in the area before parting with hopes of meeting again.  Which we will!

Ruffles create a vintage and feminine look. They can come in subtle and exaggerated forms depending on what you wish to achieve with your look.

The ruffled blouse can be paired with slim pants, skinny jeans or a pencil skirt.

For a more casual look try skinny jeans and a pair of converse tennis shoes for fun! You can also add a pair of high heels for a very nice look.

For a more sophisticated look, I would suggest a pencil skirt and high heels.

If it is short sleeve, wear it tucked in with a high waist pencil skirt. If you are uncomfortable with a skirt, try some vintage high waisted trousers.

We love this short sleeved vintage 70s cobalt blue tuxedo ruffled blouse! It has a high ruffle collar and matching blue buttons.
