A Gift is Born

Hi everyone!  I am proud to announce that we are NEW grandparents for the first time! We are so excited! My son Nathan and his wife Katie are the proud NEW parents of a little baby boy! His name is Nathaniel Alan Andersen Jr. named after my son. He was born at 1:13 am Monday morning on Sept 10th! Right on his due date! We were kinda hoping that he would come on Grandparents day ( lol :)  which was Sunday Sept.9, but God had other plans. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19.5" long.

I wish I had pictures to show you, but you will have to come back later to check them out on another post. They will soon be coming!

Are You Pincrediable?

Just recently I came across a new site called Pincredibles.  It is a little like Pinterest except its a referral site where you can earn money from pinning items from participating retail sites and referring members to Pincredibles and earn more! For each member that joins with your referral code, you'll be paid on their activity.  Unfortunately eBay does not pay out referral credits from a generated sale – however it can drive traffic to eBay so I thought I would add my items to the site in hopes of them getting traffic to my ebay store.  If you are a seller on other venues or you have your own website, it wouldn’t hurt to add/pin your items too :)
Pincredibles is by the same gentleman who created BigCrumbs - and members of BigCrumbs as of a few months back were automatically enrolled in Pincredibles using their BigCrumbs info.  I was one of them, but I just signed up this week!
I was reading in a group that I’m in where people are making money, one person has made over 140.00 bucks! Here is one of their emails from Pincredibles:

I guess the moral of the story is that if you're going to hang out at Pincredibles you might as well take whatever actions are available (like, comment, pin, repin, etc) because you never know what they're going to reward you for.....

P.S. Oh...by the way...the staff at Pincredibles is awesome! I have sent messages asking them questions and they have been very patient with me and answered all my questions! They provide great support!
P.S.S. They are in Beta right now and plan to launch in full soon! I also noticed that Etsy is one of their referral sites, but as of yet they are not paying out commissions..I'm thinking they are in Beta too to see what kind of response they get. I'll have to write Vince > ( the guy who started Big Crumbs and now Pincredibles) back and ask him what is up with that...I'm sure he'll be more than happy to answer any of my questions.

As I was going through my Christmas items to list I came across a little red box and opened it up and lo and behold it was a mini snow globe I had gotten while shopping at J.C. Penny's on a Friday after Thanks giving...what is now known as Black Friday! I'm sure you know all about that here in the states. As I was researching my little snow globe I came across some information that was a pleasant surprise. There are people who collect these! J.C.Penny's has been giving these little gems away each Christmas as a limited supply, so I must have been an early bird to get mine.

A New Easy Recipe to Try!

Here is a wonderful Shrimp recipe I found on Pinterest! It was very YUMMY and easy to make. The only thing was it was a bit time consuming peeling all the shrimp! But worth it!

Here are the instructions I found on Pinterest:

Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh peeled shrimp, then sprinkle one pack of dried Italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min. Best Shrimp you will EVER taste:)

We are Having a Baby!

 Well actually my son and his wife are! he..he..

Sorry everyone for not posting in so long! I am a bad blogger! Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day with everything that goes on, but I just had to share some great news!
My son and his wife are going to be new parents! So...that means my hubby and I are going to be first time grandparents! We all are so excited! Oh...and we found out its going to be a little boy too!

A Friday Twist!

What was the most popular song at this time ( January 13th ) during your birth year? For me it was “The Twist” by Chubby Checker.  The song was originally written and released by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters in 1959. It was only a moderate 1960 hit.

In 1960 the dance and song the Twist became popular when the song was covered by Chubby Checker. On September 19,1960 his single became a hit reaching #1 on the Bill Board Hot 100 and then set a record by being the only single to reach number one in two different chart runs when it resurfaced and topped the chart again on January 13, 1962.

A friend of mine on Facebook had posted this question and gave us a link to find out which one was ours. I thought it was a fun thing to do and find out! This may not be the same link he had but you can look it up yourself and see which one was yours here.  It would be interesting to see which song was on the top of the charts during your birth year!
